Kodiak brown bear is one of the classic hunts of the world. This spot-and-stalk hunt is in one of the most beautiful locations on the planet. Port Lions Lodge offers both a lodge based and backpack/spike camp style hunt. Experienced guides with intimate knowledge of the area, and with two 30’ Armstrong catamarans and an array of other equipment we are able to access areas most cannot and provide you with the best chance and opportunity to take the trophy of a lifetime. The Lodge based hunt provides you with all the comforts of home with each hunt day starting from the lodge and ending at the lodge with large homestyle meals. Backpack hunts are just that, hunting with what’s on your back. High quality Tents and equipment make this hunt as comfortable as can be. These hunts start with either being dropped off in your hunt area by Float plane or by boat depending on the area. All hunts have a high success rate with bears averaging over 9’. After your bear is harvested during Fall hunts we will then focus on black-tail deer if desired or sea duck and fox hunting.
