Brett grew up in Kodiak, and has been fishing, hunting, and adventuring all over Kodiak Island for most of his life. Brett has been in the fishing and lodge business in some capacity for the last 25 years, Some of you may remember Brett if you fished at Port Lions Lodge prior to James’ ownership- he ran the Laura Beth for several years under the tutelage of former owner (and Brett’s former high school teacher) Steve Andresen.

Brett’s profession has taken him all over the state and feels very fortunate to have experienced so much of what Alaska has to offer, and he can say with confidence that Port Lions is the best of Alaska and the place that he calls home.

Marvin was born in Kodiak and raised in Afognak and Port Lions. He spent 30 years commercial fishing for salmon, herring, crab and halibut around Kodiak Island. He then Started sport fishing charters out of Deep Creek on the Kenai Peninsula in 1994 and fished there for 13 years. Marvin moved back to Port Lions in 2007 and continues to take sport fisherman out of Port Lions.
